Karen Sue Tegeler
December 30, 1968 - June 01, 2018

On the morning of June 1st Karen Cain-Tegeler received a call and, as usual, picked up on the first ring. The caller, her Lord and Savior, requested her presence at the greatest of parties.

Karen was born in Davis just in time for ringing in New Year’s Eve 1969, where parents Dick and Maurine Cain promptly deemed her personality too large to be contained to California and thus relocated to Texas. Here the Kanakuk Kamp inspired Karen each summer towards her spiritual destiny with Christianity and the GSA endowed her with the Lifetime Achievement of Socialization merit badge forecasting her fate for the coming decades.

Never known for not talking in class, she imprinted both College Station’s A&M Consolidated and Carrollton’s Newman Smith High Schools. She attended all reunions, formal and other, having been advised by her fellow classmates all events where she is not in attendance will need to be cancelled.

Having pumped maroon blood through her big heart for so many years, she attended Texas A&M where she was the original inventor of social media. Absent a great amount of study time for fear of missing out, she was nonetheless awarded a bachelor’s degree in Marketing.

Her business career in advertising began with Moroch & Associates and soon focused in automotive where she supported GMC, BMW and Mercedes-Benz. Coworkers, clients and associates quickly became life-long confidants.

Karen enjoyed her time to the fullest for all the 49-1/2 years of sporting the most fabulous hair. The Pulmonary Embolism succeeded to end her life instantly but failed, however, to take her spirit that thrives in us all. Relationships in marriage, family and friends are everything to her. She is everything to us.

That smile.

That laugh.

That energy.

That love.

That Karen.

We love you.

May heaven grace you with the most awesome cheeses ever.
