Warren Elliott Martin
September 11, 1934 - June 04, 2018

Warren Elliott Martin, 83, of Durango, died Monday, June 4, 2018, in a Temple Hospital. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday in the Church of the Visitation in Westphalia. Rev. Edwin Kagoo officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Westphalia.

Mr. Martin was born September 11, 1934 in San Antonio to John Albert and Dorothy Mae Tubbs Martin. He graduated from Brackenridge High School in San Antonio and earned Bachelor degrees in Mechanical Engineering and English from Texas A&M University. While at Texas A&M, he served in the Corp of Cadets and was discharged from the U.S. Army with the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. He married Nancy McKewen on September 6, 1956. He worked for Texas Instruments in Dallas for 30 years as a Mechanical Engineer, and taught Junior High Math in Nocona. After moving to Falls County, he did substitute teaching at several local school districts. He was a member of the Church of the Visitation in Westphalia.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Martin of Durango

Two sons: Kurt Martin and wife Jessica of Robinson and Russell Martin and wife Melba of Mart

One daughter: Gretchen Tax of Durango

One sister: JoAnn Reddin of Dickenson

6 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren

Warren was a resident of Durango, Texas at the time of passing.
