Joanne Marie Mueller
February 23, 1959 - May 19, 2018

Joanne Marie Mueller, 59, of Lilburn, Georgia passed away on May 19, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Joanne was born in El Paso, Texas. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Steven Mueller; daughter Lindsey Wallace and husband, Jeff and son Weston Mueller and wife Kasey and 2 grandsons, Declan and Killian; father and mother John and Bettye Maurer; 2 sisters, Barbara Dobson and Carol Hayman and brother-in-law John; Father-in-law and Mother-in-law Bernard and Gwendolyn Mueller; as well as many other cousins, brother-in-law’s, sister-in-law’s, nieces and nephews.

Joanne moved back to Texas after High School to attend Texas A&M and graduated with her Bachelors in Agronomy. She met her husband while attending College and soon after got married and had 2 children. They moved back to Georgia to be closer to family and she spent most of her time as a wonderful, dedicated mother and wife. Joanne and Steve owned several businesses and invented several products through their company Weslin Industries. She was an active member of St. Marguerite d’Youville Catholic Church decorating for all the holidays. She was also very involved in St. Vincent de Paul in which she coordinated the Thanksgiving and Christmas Programs as well as many fundraisers. Joanne also was a huge advocate for animals. Throughout her life she rescued many animals either finding them new homes or taking them herself and even rehabilitating some. She is a Cancer survivor but unfortunately lost her battle with a secondary Cancer.

Joanne was much loved by her family and friends as well as all the Nurses, Doctors and fellow patients she met along the way at Emory Hospital Winship and MD Anderson. The family would like to thank everyone for their constant love, prayers and support through the past few years. It gave Joanne strength every step of the way.

The Memorial Service to honor and celebrate the life of Joanne Mueller will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Marguerite d’Youville Catholic Church, Lawrenceville, GA. Inurnment will follow at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 25, 2018 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel. In lieu of flowers we ask for a donation to be made in her honor to St. Vincent De Paul at St. Marguerite Catholic Church 85 Gloster Rd Lawrenceville, GA 30044.
