Dr. Kathryn Marie Lang
Edinburg - Dr. Kathryn Marie Lang, 68, went home to our Lord Friday, June 1, 2018, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg.
She received her BS and MS Degree from Southeast Missouri State University. Dr. Lang received her Doctorate from Texas A & M in 1987. She was also an educator for 32 years, she taught at Weslaco ISD, PSJA ISD, Harlingen CISD, UTPA and UT Brownsville as an Adjunct Professor, and was the principal at St. Paul Lutheran School in McAllen for 4 years.
Dr. Lang enjoyed going to the livestock shows, and watch her sons and grandsons show cattle. She also loved traveling everywhere and seeing new places.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Merrill George and Letha Hall.
Dr. Lang is survived by her loving husband, who she married in August 22, 1970, Larry Lynn Lang of Edinburg; her two sons, Eric (Norma) Lang of Sandia, TX, Nathan Lang of Austin; two grandsons, Christopher Lang of Norfolk, VA, Nicholas Lang of Savannah, GA; a brother, Merrill Hall Jr. of Edinburg; and three cousins, Rita Rohlfing LaPelle, Nancy Rohlfing Hootselle and Paula Goerger.
A celebration of life will be held at 7 p.m., Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in McAllen.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
