JACK GOVAN STROMAN(1927 - 2018)
JACK GOVAN STROMAN, 90, passed on to our Lord on Friday, May 25, 2018. He was born November 26, 1927 in Derby, Texas to Govan and Ida Stroman. Jack was a graduate of Texas A&M University and remained one of their biggest fans throughout his life. He was also
a veteran of the Armed Forces and served in the Navy, Army, and National Guard. He was very proud of his service to our country. Jack spent the majority of his career as the Executive Vice President of American National Bank in Silver City. He was passionate
about his work, friends, and service to his community.
On June 10, 1953, Jack married the love of his life, Mary Frances Kuester. Together they raised four children and lived many years in Albuquerque, Las Cruces, and Silver City. After retirement, Jack and Frances loved to travel in their RV and made life-long
friends on their many adventures.
Jack is survived by his children, Leon Stroman and wife, Madeline Dzielak of Pagosa Springs, CO; Gail Altuna of Las Cruces; Bill Stroman and his wife, Karla of Silver City and Christine Medina and her husband, Joe also of Las Cruces. He is also survived by
9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances and two sisters, Jeane Ann Reding and Dorothy Shaw.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Monday, June 4, 2018 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 1327 N. Miranda Street with the Reverend Richard Catanach, Celebrant. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Masonic Cemetery, 760 S. Compress Road
with military honors accorded by a U.S. Army Honor Guard and the Marine Corps League - El Perro Diablo Detachment.
Serving as casket bearers will be family and friends.
