Stephen Clay Long
December 20, 1966 – May 19, 2018 of Atascocita, Texas is preceded in death by his father Dr. Walter K. Long. Stephen is survived by his beloved wife Ann, precious son 8 month old Logan Clay, loving mother Beverly, sister Valerie, brother David, nephews Brian and Alex, niece Alison, mother-in-law Tina and many relatives, friends and colleagues who are left to mourn his passing.

Stephen graduated from Texas A&M University and joined the Outback Restaurant Corporation. He enjoyed a successful career with Outback in both Hawaii and Humble and retired as a proprietor after twenty one years.

Stephen was active in the community and often reached out to individuals in need and troubled times. He participated in local school activities and fund raising events. Stephen was recognized for his integrity, compassion, generosity and hard work. His professional accolades include

5 time Managing Partner of the Year in Hawaii

3 time Proprietor of the Year of Outback

Golfers Against Cancer – MD Anderson - Person of the Year

Board member of several not-for-profit charities

Family came first but Stephen gave freely of his time and treasure to friends and community. He enjoyed skiing and scuba diving and was expert at both. Stephen loved to travel and took frequent trips to Hawaii and Las Vegas. He and Ann even enjoyed a recent ski trip to Mt Rose with baby Logan.

Stephen’s family and many friends know he had a well-lived, full life. His profound and deep love for Ann and Logan Clay was evident to everyone.

A memorial service will be held June 2, 2018
