Larry Lynn Priesmeyer, 85, of College Station passed away Sunday, May 20, 2018. A memorial service to remember his life will be held at 4:00pm on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Callaway-Jones Funeral Center in Bryan, with Pastor Dawson Skow officiating.
Larry was born October 28, 1932 in Jones Creek, Texas. Larry graduated in 1951 from Klein High School in Klein, Texas. As an undergraduate student at Texas A&M, Larry was a member of the Color Guard and in A Battery Anti-Aircraft Artillery. He was a member
of AIA, AGC, and the Houston Hometown Club. He graduated with a B.A. in Architecture from Texas A&M University in 1956 and a Master of Urban & Regional Planning in1967. From 1959 to 1964 he was with Golemon & Rolf Architects, Houston, Texas & returned to A&M
in 1965 as Professor of Architecture.
Since 2000 he was the Principal of Aesthetic Solutions; College Station, Texas, and Principal of Priesmeyer Associates, Architecture and Photography, College Station. He was a member of the Texas Society of Architects, American Institute of Architects and American
Society of Interior Designers. Larry served two years as an officer in guided missiles in the U. S. Army Air Defense in Ft. Bliss, Texas. He was an avid snow skier during his adult years & loved dancing to country western music.
He is preceded in death by his parents Otto & Emma Lange Priesmeyer, a twin sister Vivian Baumgarter and baby sister, Sylvia Donaho.
Larry is survived by his wife Roberta Janac Otto Priesmeyer; three daughters Kimberly Wilbanks & husband Robert, Kristina Hopson, and Tanna Otto Telligman & husband Tra; son Stanton Key Priesmeyer and wife Jane; four grandchildren Kenneth Priesmeyer, Jennifer
Marshall & Marissa Wilbanks, and Kamryn Hopson; one great-grand child, Adelyn Joy Marshall; and a brother Harold Priesmeyer of Houston.
In lieu of flowers. Contributions may be made to the “Roberta & Larry Priesmeyer ’56 Endowed Scholarship in Architecture” or a charity of your choice.
