Jon Randall Coffey
AUGUST 14, 1942 – APRIL 13, 2018
Jon R. Coffey, 75, passed away Friday, April 13, 2018, surrounded by loved ones at his home in Brownwood, Texas. Visitations will be held Sunday April 15, 2018 at Johnson's Funeral Home in San Angelo from 1:00 - 3:00 pm and on Monday April 16, 2018 at Davis-Morris Funeral Home in Brownwood from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Services will be held Tuesday at Davis-Morris Funeral Home at 11:00 am. Jon was born in Brownwood at Memorial Hospital August 14, 1942 to J.P. "Bud" and Louise Coffey. He graduated from Brownwood High School in 1960 and Texas A&M with a BBA in 1965. He retired after a long career with GTE phone company. He was a member of Central Methodist Church in Brownwood. Jon loved his family. He cherished all the many family gatherings. Jon also loved the beach. After retirement he spent several years in an RV in Rockport, Texas. Survivors include his wife of 26 years , Joyce, daughter Joan Gibson and husband Benny, son James Coffey and wife Jani, son Jonathan Coffey and wife Denise, son Mark Coats and his wife Isabel, and son Coy White and wife Jennifer; 15 grandchildren, Ramsey Villarreal, Aubrey Coffey, Jessica Coffey, Bridgett Gonzales, and husband Caleb, Kali Seat, LeahShea Martinez and husband Ryan, Laramie Seat, Blaine Mitchell, Jessica Coats, Emily Coats, Andrew Coats, Gage Coffey, Rylee Coffey, Chase White, and Corbin White and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents J.P. "Bud" and Louis Coffey, sister Linda Reid and grandson Nathan Coffey. Jon will be missed immensely by those who loved him so dearly.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce, daughter Joan Gibson and husband Benny, son James Coffey and wife Jani, son Jonathan Coffey and wife Denise, son Mark Coats and his wife Isabell, and son Coy White and wife Jennifer; 15 grandchildren, Ramsey Villarreal, Aubrey Coffey, Jessica Coffey, Bridgett Gonzales, and husband Caleb, Kali Seat, LeahShea Martinez and husband Ryan, Laramie Seat, Blaine Mitchell, Jessica Coats, Emily Coats, Andrew Coats, Rylee Coffey, Chase White, and Corbin White and 6 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents J.P. “Bud” and Louis Coffey, sister Linda Reid and grandson Nathan Coffey.
