Benton L. Brockette
March 21, 1925 - March 31, 2018

Benton L. Brockette, age 93, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Inter-Faith Care Center in Carlton. He was born March 21, 1925 in Cleburne, Texas. Benton served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. He taught school and was Superintendent of the Vocational Department for Beaumont Independent School District in Beaumont, Texas. Benton loved fishing and sharing his vocational knowledge with students.

Benton was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Virginia Ferguson. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte; daughter, Annette (Jim) Riddle; grandson, Lewis (Shannon) Brockette; and five great-grandchildren.

A private Family Service will be held Wednesday at Nelson Funeral Care, with inurnment at Maple Grove Cemetery in Cloquet.
