David A. Bath
LAKE COUNTY, Ill. -- David A. Bath, 70, of Lake County, Ill., passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018, with his family by his side. David was born in Franklin, the son of the late Albert and Ruth (Heater) Bath. He graduated from Franklin High School and Texas A&M with a degree in accounting. He was predeceased by his sisters, Patricia (Bath) Eckman and Myrna (Bath) Reed.
David was a successful businessman, serving as vice president of finance at Kleinschmidt Inc. before his retirement. David loved playing his guitar, watching his favorite teams and traveling. He loved Hawaii and had tremendous joy in sharing the beauty and wonder of the islands with family and friends. He was generous to all those he loved and had a wonderful sense of humor.
David is survived by his loving children, Kimberly (Ryan) Daufeldt, of Des Plaines, Ill., and Danielle (Sean) McCallister, of Richmond, Ill.; his much adored three grandchildren; his dearest brother, James (Nancy) Bath, of Roanoke, Va.; and his cherished niece and nephews, Jennifer Bath, of Roanoke, Va., Jeffrey (Heather) Bath, of Newton, and Christopher Bath, of Maywood.
Funeral services for David will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place (Route 176, one block east of Milwaukee Avenue), Libertyville, Ill., with a visitation one hour prior to service. Funeral information: 847-362-2626.
