Enrique "Rick" Juarez
December 26, 1966 - March 6, 2018

Enrique "Rick" Juarez, age 51, passed away Tuesday March 06, 2018. He was born in Port Arthur, Texas on December 26, 1966 to Dora and Juan Juarez Sr. He was a 1985 graduate of Port Neches-Groves High School and he went on to graduate from Texas A&M with a B.A. in Speech Communication and later a MPA in International Management. While there, he was involved in Singing Cadets, Class Council, Traditions Council and Fish Camp. Enrique was also awarded the National Hispanic Scholar and Texas A&M University President’s award. He was a proud Texas Aggie and followed them in all sports. Rick also volunteered on the alumni board of advisors for the department of Communication at Texas A&M and was Vice President and volunteer for the Dallas A&M club. Rick was an active member at his church, St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Dallas. He was a member of many groups and volunteered often with the St. Vincent de Paul donation truck.

Rick never met a stranger and had a smile that could brighten any room. His love of music, sports, and life oozed out of his ever-charming personality. While those things were a part of his life, family was always first priority. No matter where or what he was doing he would stop everything to drive in or call you just to tell you he loved you. This was never more evident than with his twin girls.

He is preceded in death by his parents Juan Juarez Sr. and Dora Juarez; his sister, Yolanda Bell-isle;

nephews; Jesse Flores III and Anthony Flores.

Enrique is survived by his daughters, Raven Noelle and Cheyenne Nicole Juarez of Dallas; his sister, Celeste Flores (Jesse Jr.) of Port Neches; his brother, Juan Juarez Jr. (Christy) of Orange; nieces, Adina Cryer, Natasha Hensley and Celina Ellis; along with a host of family, friends and loved ones.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 PM until 8: 00 PM Sunday, March 11, 2018 at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home, with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. A 2 PM funeral service will be held on Monday, March 12, 2018 at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
