Calvin Beri Smith
January 3, 1977 - March 2, 2018

Calvin “Cal” Beri Smith, of Mildred, age 41, died unexpectedly on March 2, 2018. He was a 1995 graduate of Cayuga High School. He went on to earn an Animal Science Degree from Texas A&M University in 2000. He served in the Corp of Cadets while at Texas A&M as well as the Army National Guard.
Calvin was very involved at Mildred Baptist Church with the Youth and Men’s Ministries. He is survived by his wife, Connie, their daughter, Jordan Smith of Corsicana. He is also survived by his parents, Beri and Linda Smith of Palestine; sisters, Laurie and husband Scott Dishman of Celina; and Leslie and husband Chad Glenn of Cayuga; nieces and nephews; Chase and Colby Glenn, Cooper, Miller, and Reagan Dishman.

Funeral services will take place at Mildred Baptist Church on Wednesday, March 7 at 11 a.m. with visitation at 9:30 a. m. Officiants will be Rev. Tony Neal, Rev. Scott Dishman and Rev. Mike Drinkard. Pallbearers will be Billy Birdsong, Nathan Guerry, John LeGard, Ira Miller, Jerry Pugh, Jacob Rash, Jerry Don Satterfield, and Brian Simpson. Flowers can be sent to Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home, Corsicana. Donations can also be made in his memory to the Mildred Baptist Church youth.
