Anthony Laurence King passed away on February 27, 2018. He was born in Bromley, Kent United Kingdom on October 27, 1939. In his early years he attended the Prince of Wales Academy and joined the Kenya Regiment. He moved to the Bryan College Station, Texas,
United States and attended and graduated from Texas A & M. There he started the first rugby team. He was a man of many hats: Agricultural Engineer, Forester and Lecturer. He moved to Oak Ridge, TN and worked for Roane State and Ecumenical Store House. There
he met Denise Nauman, married and moved to Lenoir City, TN where he has resided for the last 18 years. He was a dedicated birder in the KTOS and Tellico Village Bird Club. He is survived by his wife, Denise Nauman; daughters, Anita King, Autumn Hamby and husband,
Timothy Hamby; two grandchildren, Tucker Hamby and soon to be Thatcher Hamby; brothers, Joe King, Pete and Richard Summerfield and their wives, Jan King, Trish and Lyn Summerfield. The family will receive friends at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City on March
3, 2018 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. A memorial bird walk will follow at a later date. Click Funeral Home, 109 Walnut Street, Lenoir City is in charge of arrangements.
