Billy L. Chamberlain(1930 - 2018)
August 5, 1930 - February 20, 2018
Billy Lloyd Chamberlain. Larger than life. So tough, yet tender. Lighthearted, hilarious, quickwitted, strong willed, hard headed, ornery, boyish, loving, modest, overly generous, easy going, and able to hide his true feelings and a pretty cool dude. That's how anyone who knew Bill would describe him.

Billy Lloyd Chamberlain (Bill) was born in Austin, Texas at his home on August 5, 1930. He passed away February 20, 2018, at the age of 87. He was the only child of Lloyd and Claudia Chamberlain. He was predeceased by his wife of 48 years, Carolyn in 1999. He is survived by his daughter, Teri C. Reasonover, and son, Gregg B. Chamberlain and Margaret Nakagari. He is also survived by grandchildren Ty C. and Heejin Reasonover, Trent Reasonover and Eric Reasonover. He was blessed with two great grand daughter's Caroline Reasonover and Madison Reasonover. He also leaves behind to cherish his memory, numerous cousins, and close friends.

Billy was a proud graduate of Texas A&M University, class of 1952, with a degree in Sociology. After graduation, he was commissioned as an officer in the United States Air Force where he was awarded the National Defense, Service Medal. He served in the Air Force until 1966.

Bill was an astute businessman who developed commercial real estate property with H. B. Zachry Company and Uptmore and Associates until he began his own development company. In 1970 he moved from San Antonio to Boerne with his wife, Carolyn, where they raised quarter horses and helped to begin parimutuel racing in Texas. He was the owner of the Antique Mall in Boerne for many years and a devoted collector of junk.

Bill was an avid hunter and fisherman. His favorite times were with his hunting buddies at the deer lease in Utopia and fishing in Aransas Pass and South Padre Island. He also enjoyed the horse races, Aggie football and spending time with his family.

Bill was very involved in professional organizations and his community. He served as a director at the San Antonio Home Builders Association, Director and President of the Boerne Berges Fest, and Vice President of the Kendall County Fair Association. In 1977, he was chosen as Boerne's "Citizen of the Year".

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Cremation by Heavenly Grace in LaFeria.
