Temple S. Pyle, Jr.

Mr. Temple Pyle, 90, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 21, 2018, with his caregiver by his side. A time of visitation will begin at 1:30 pm on Saturday, February 24, followed by a memorial service at 2:30 pm in the Chapel of Osborn Funeral
Home. Officiating will be Rev. Dana Casey.
Mr. Pyle was a native of East Texas and a resident of Shreveport for 54 years. After serving as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army during World War II he met Joan, the love of his life, who put him through college at Texas A&M where he received a degree in Petroleum
Engineering. Mr. Pyle worked for Crystal Oil in Shreveport and retired from Hunt Oil Co. in Dallas.
Mr. Pyle was a member of the NRA and American Classic Car Club of Shreveport for many years and enjoyed showing antique cars.
Mr. Pyle was preceded in death by his parents, Temple and Velma Pyle; wife, Joan “GiGi” Pyle; and great granddaughter, Lexi Gordon. He is survived by two daughters, Rebecca Lee and husband, Joe and Robin Leigh Jones and husband, Jerry; two grandsons, Alan Cook
and Bryan Gordon and wife, Tanya; great grandchildren, Lane, Colton, Lena, Paisley and Gracelyn; and his faithful friend and loving companion, Danny.
Mr. Pyle was very loved by his family, many friends, and all who met him. The family would like to thank his caregiver, Kim Hall, for many years of care, love and support.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
