September 22, 1989 - February 13, 2018

Patrick Thomas Worrell, 28, of Fort Worth died unexpectedly on February 13, 2018 in Galveston.
Patrick was born on September 22, 1989, in Denton and grew up in Fort Worth. He attended Fort Worth Country Day and All Saints’ Episcopal School, and he graduated from All Saints’ in 2008.
He then embarked on a uniquely adventurous path, ranging from cooking school to Iceland to volunteering with orphans in Nepal. He loved traveling widely and was a passionate student and instructor of yoga in Fort Worth, New York, and Jacksonville. He later attended Tarrant County College and was currently a student at Texas A&M University in Galveston.
Patrick shared his boundless affection and energy with the world around him. He struggled with addiction, yet fiercely and unwaveringly loved his family and friends. He especially cherished his relationships with Hilary and Charles. He brought us joy and laughter and was loved richly and deeply in return.
Patrick was very excited at the prospect of graduation next year and looked forward to a career in teaching. His was a force like few others, and he blessed the lives of so many. We will desperately miss him but will always treasure indelible memories of his life as our son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and dearest friend.
Patrick was preceded in death by his grandparents, Pat and John Worrell, and his uncle, Mike Hicks.
Survivors: He is survived by his parents, Shannon and Trace Worrell; sister, Hilary Ann Worrell; brother, Charles Christopher Worrell; grandparents, Charles Weatherby, Sandra and Jerry Thomas, and Nancy Burckart; aunts and uncles, Paige and Randy DeHart, Patty McClinton, Kelly Purselley, Gretchen Hicks, Rob Purselley, Monty McClinton, and Bunny and Todd Snyder; and cousins, Laurel Bull, Hope DeHart, Morgan Purselley, Allison Purselley, Samantha Green, Emellia McClinton, Calvin McClinton, Grace Garven, and Piper Hicks.
