Kenneth Ray Goins
February 20, 1946 - February 4, 2018
A graveside service will be held for Kenneth Goins at 11:15 a.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery . Viewing will be available to family and friends on Wednesday anytime between 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at Hilliard Funeral Home, 386N. Maple, Van, Texas 75790.
Kenneth Ray Goins was born February 20, 1946 in Monroe, LA to the late Elmer Eldridge Goins and Lillian Sue Nobles Goins. He had been a resident of Farmers Branch for 20 years, formerly living in the Dallas area. He was a graduate of Texas A&M and worked in commercial construction. He was a naval pilot, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a lifetime Methodist, a loving father and grandfather. Kenneth enjoyed many hobbies such as fishing, hiking, camping and playing the guitar. He was an Eagle Scout and an avid outdoorsman.
Mr. Goins passed away at the age of 71 years on February 4, 2018.
Survivors include his four children; Laurie Drum, Bill Goins, Andrew Goins, and Amie Goins-Sokora; his brother, Eldridge Goins; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
"Always remember the greatest reason for Gods plan is that we return to him, In prayer, in praise and in everything."
