Ronald Lynn Feldmann, 61 of Blooming Grove, was born to Charlie and Edna Holtkamp Feldmann on Aug. 5, 1956, and passed away on Jan. 29, 2018, in Dallas. He was born into a large family and grew up in Navasota, where he was baptized on Aug. 19, 1954 and confirmed on May 17, 1970 at Salem Lutheran Church in White Hall. Ron graduated from Navasota High School in 1974, attended Texas A&M University from 1974 to 1978 and received his Bachelor of Science in agricultural engineering in 1978.

Ron went to work for the USDA in 1979 in Vernon and has served as an engineer for over 37 years, working in Gainesville, Corsicana and Hillsboro. Ron made his home and raised his family in Corsicana, where he attended Faith Lutheran Church and was loved by everyone that knew him. Whenever people mentioned Ron, they said, "He is the nicest man I know" and "Wow, he's proud of those grandbabies." Ron knew he was blessed that his grandbabies and children lived close.

And he made the most of it by being with them every chance he got. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Edna Feldmann. Ron is survived by his son, Jeffery; daughter-in-law, Julianna, and grandson, Brooks James, all of Frost; his daughter, Julie, and granddaughter, Caydence Lynn, of Dawson; sisters Shirley Feldmann Arthur and Betty Feldmann of Navasota; Carolyn Feldmann Raesener and brother-in-law, H.O., of Bryan and brother, David Feldmann, and sister-in-law, Betty Jean Feldmann of Brenham.

Ron's celebration of life begins with visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, 2018 at Paschal Funeral Home, 120 SW Third St. in Kerens. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018 at Faith Lutheran Church in Corsicana, 3824 W State Hwy 22. Graveside services will be held later that day at the Salem Lutheran Cemetery in White Hall, near Navasota.
