Son, John D Purcell ‘84, wife Sharon, granddaughter Kathryn Rachal, husband Will Rachal, great-grandchildren Matthew and Lenna Rachal, granddaughter Alyssa Purcell, granddaughter Jennifer Petersen, husband Drake Petersen, granddaughter Caroline Purcell ‘18;
Daughter, Cynthia Moore, husband Kevin Moore, granddaughter Holly Moore and grandson Eric Moore.
John graduated in 1955 with BAs in Mechanical and Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M. He served 2 years in the US Army (Captain) and 8 years in the reserves. He worked 30 years for ARCO Oil (now BP) until his retirement. He resided in Dallas TX until 2005 when he moved to Sun City, Georgetown TX. He moved to Spring TX in 2016 where he lived the last two years of his life.
