Jan. 31, 1935 - Aug. 8, 2017
Francis Calvin Odom, Jr., 82, of College Station, Texas, passed away on August 8, 2017. A graveside service is set for 9 a.m. Thursday, December 28, at Forest Park Cemetery of Houston.
He was born in Houston, Texas on January 31, 1935. He attended high school in Houston and then was accepted into the Corps at Texas A&M University and graduated from there. On February 7, 1958, he was inducted into the Armed Forces of the United States where he served as a Military Intelligence Specialist.
Calvin continued his service in the U.S. Army Reserve until January 31, 1960 when he was honorably discharged. He worked at Texas A&M University until he received his Master's Degree and was then appointed Purchasing Agent where he continued to work until his retirement.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Nellie Elizabeth and Francis Calvin Odom.
