Kyle Allen
January 2, 1944 - December 16, 2017
Kyle Allen, age 73, passed away December 16, 2017. He was a resident of Rockwall since 1976, and was previously of Dallas and Plano. Kyle was born January 2, 1944, to William James Allen and Edna (Westercamp) Allen and grew up in Baytown, TX. Kyle deeply loved his wife, children and grandchildren and was a devoted family man. He was very involved in Boy Scouts with his son and was an avid outdoorsman. Some of his favorite things to do were hunting, fishing and going to the ranch with his brother. Kyle was a small business owner since 1978, as the owner of Packaged Industrial Power and was involved in professional organizations like Toastmasters International, Dale Carnegie Training and International Material Management Society. He was a devoted member of First Christian Church and had been given the honor of being named Elder Emeritus. After his love for the Lord and his family, was Kyle’s die-hard loyalty to Texas A&M University.
Kyle is survived by his loving wife of 46 years: Dorothy Allen; children: Greg Allen and wife Jill and Stephanie Sills and husband Rich; granddaughters: Olivia Allen, Aubreigh Allen and Hadley Kyle Sills; brother: Steven Allen; and mother-in-law: Margaret Edmiston; along with a host of loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held 10:00am Thursday, December 21, 2017, at Rest Haven Funeral Home – Rockwall Chapel with Dr. Mark Irons officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening at the funeral home from 5:00 to 7:00pm. As an alternative to flowers the family request that memorials be made to The First Christian Church - Rockwall, 3375 Ridge Rd., Rockwall, TX 75032.
