Rocio Flores Hinojosa
November 22, 1979 - January 11, 2018

Rocio “Misty” Flores Hinojosa, 38, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at her home in San Antonio, Texas. She was born November 22, 1979 in Bryan, Texas to Arturo and Carolina Flores. She was a 1998 graduate of Bryan High School and went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Technology from Texas A&M University and a Master of Business Administration from Our Lady of the Lake University. Rocio married Evaristo Hinojosa III in San Antonio, Texas where they made their home. She was a Property Claims Adjuster at USAA, displaying an excellent grasp of her field and problem solving. She was an integral part of a team, never shied away from hard work and was loved and admired by her colleagues and coworkers.

Rocio lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting, listening and spending time with her family and friends, helping others, attending her children’s extra-curricular events and activities and listening to her son Noel play piano. She was very smart, witty, funny and strong. Her kindness touched many and her presence on Earth made it a better place. Rocio’s free-spirited nature inspired a love of traveling, trying new foods, and attending social events if it meant she could let her hair down.

She was a devoted mother and beloved wife who made sure her family had everything they needed. She shared a love of classical music, culture, history and art with her husband.

Rocio is preceded in death by her mother and brother. She is survived by husband, Evaristo; three sons, Christian, Noel and Ammi; father, Arturo Flores; and sister, Elizabeth Gutiérrez.
