David Sealey, 65, of Omaha, NE, passed away on January 13th, 2018. David was born in Lake Charles, LA, to parents Donald and Nora Sealey. He earned his Bachelor's degree at Louisiana Tech University and his Master's degree at Texas A&M, both in Computer Science. David enjoyed a 20 year military career with the Air Force working as a Software Engineer. Like his father, David was an avid outdoorsman
who loved hunting and fishing. Many of his family's fondest memories of him include camouflage gear and fishing poles. Those who knew him will remember his love for cooking and the delicious food he would bring to parties and holiday gatherings. He was recently able to fulfill two of his life goals-visiting Alaska and attending a Garth Brooks concert where he could belt out "Friends in Low Places" freely. In his free time, he enjoyed cruising to tropical locations, walks along the lake, and tending to his garden with his wife Jo Ellen. He also loved his newly acquired hobby of H.A.M. Radio. David will be remembered for his kindness and quiet sense of humor, for his love of John Denver and Patsy Cline, and for his childlike excitement when he would receive a whole bag of Milky Ways for himself at Christmas.

David is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Nora Sealey. He is survived by his wife Jo Ellen Sealey (Omaha, NE), his daughters, Melissa Sealey (St. Louis, MO), Erica El-Kachouti and her husband Sharif (Omaha, NE), Lyda Brewer and her husband Shane (Portland, ME), Stacy Ferner and her husband Drew (Denver, CO), his brother Michael Sealey and his wife Mary (Austin, TX), his sister Donna Fox and her husband Greg (Minden, LA), his brother James Sealey and wife Gail (Rhode Island); grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. While forever in our hearts, we know he is now roaming the country roads with his cherished Labradors Husker, Birdie, and Chip.

FUNERAL SERVICE Saturday January 20 at 1:30 pm with visitation at 12:30 pm. Interment to follow. All services at Westlawn-Hillcrest.
