Louie J. Barbe, Jr., resident of The Woodlands, died on January 9, 2018. He was born on October 22, 1924, in Seguin, Texas.
He attended public schools in Texas and Louisiana. He graduated from Lamar Junior College and received BS degree in Chemical Engineering from Texas A & M College in 1948. He was a charter member of Christ Church United Methodist. Mr. Barbe served in the US Army 1944-1946 and Retired from Exxon Pipeline Company in 1983 after 35 years of service.
Mr. Barbe's wife, Ann Shaver Barbe, preceded him in death. He is survived by his son, Scott Barbe, and wife, Pamela, of Spring, Texas; and son, Randall Barbe, and wife, Kat, of Roatan, Honduras.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, January 13, 2018, at 3:00 p.m. at The Woodlands Country Club – Palmer Course Clubhouse, 100 Grand Fairway, The Woodlands, Texas 77381.
