Margaret A. Simpson Corpus Christi,TX

Margaret A. Simpson , Margaret Allison Simpson, age 86, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2013. Margaret was a kind, loving, unselfish woman who will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Born January 22, 1927 in Kingsville, she moved to Corpus Christi upon her marriage to Robert Simpson in 1952. Margaret, Robert and
their three children moved to Portland in 1967, where she taught biology, oceanography and physical science at Gregory-Portland High School until retiring in 1987. Well known for her lifelong love of nature, her enthusiasm influenced many of her students, family and friends. Until her health declined, Margaret was an active member the Disciples of Christ Church and was deeply devoted to her church family at the First Christian Church of Portland.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Robert Simpson, Sr. of Portland; sons Robert Simpson, Jr. of Portland and John Simpson of Corpus Christi; daughter Rebecca Pease of Lacombe, Louisiana and three grandchildren, Allison Pease of Lubbock, Emily Vitanza of Austin, and Dylan Simpson-Wilk of Portland. She was preceded in death by her parents Dr. and Mrs. Hendery Allison of Kingsville and two brothers, Hendery Allison and John Allison.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday June 28th at the First Christian Church, 1103 Lang Road, Portland, Texas. Ritchea-Gonzales F.H.,Inc. 120 S. McCall Sinton, TX 78387 361-364-1311
