Billy John "Bill" Richardson a member of the Greatest Generation died, January 3, 2018 at the hospital in Marlin. Services will be held at Blue Ridge Baptist at 2:00 PM with graveside to follow at Blue Ridge cemetery.

Bill was born to Jack and Agnes (Harlan) Richardson November 13, 1924 in Marlin Texas. Most of his youth was spent living on the farm that his great grandfather, T.D. Harlan, settled in 1869. Bill attended Blue Ridge, Reagan, and Marlin High School. After graduating from Marlin High School he attended Texas A&M graduating with class of '46. He served in the U.S. army in WW II and the Korean War. Mr. Richardson was the Postmaster in Reagan for 34 yrs. and was a member and deacon of the First Baptist Church in Marlin where he and also served in many areas of the church. He was a former member of Marlin Lions Club, working with Central Texas eye bank for many years. Bill and Sue (Henson) were married January 10, 1952 in Waco. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Betty; son, David and daughter, Dana.

Survivors include his wife, Sue; three granddaughters; seven great grandchildren and his sister Marnel of San Antonio.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Marlin or Blue Ridge Cemetery Assoc.
