Louis Piazza
August 26, 1935 - December 26, 2017

Louis A. Piazza passed away December 26, 2017 in Irvine, Ca. after a lengthy battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis and Pulmonary Hypertension. Louis was born in Vicksburg, Miss. August 26, 1935.
After attending St. Aloysius for 12 years (class of ’53), Louis attended Mississippi Southern College for 2 years, followed by 4 years in the U.S. Air Force. After his discharge in 1959 he moved to Dallas where he met Sara Frese of Jonesboro, Ark. They married in September 1961, his last semester in college at Texas A&M University. They moved to Houston where he worked for Tennessee Gas Transmission until the Fall of 1965 when he joined Bonney Forge. The family moved to Baton Rouge, La. (for 4 years), to Southern California (for 3 years), to Carlinville, Ill. (for 2 years), to Bethlehem, Pa. (2 years) before being transferred back to California in 1976. He was with Bonney Forge for 20 years before starting his own sales representative company which he owned for 17 years before retiring in 2000.
Louis was preceded in death by his father Louis A., mother Ruth Wilson, sisters and brothers in law Monte (Shannon) Jones, Gene (Melvin) Breeden, Pat (Walter) Reynolds, as well as his youngest son Jason. Louis is survived by his wife, his children Kevin (Bonnie), Courtney (Jeff) Savage, Kirby (Gina), 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Louis was proud of his military service and his memberships in the Elks, American Legion and especially his 57 years in the Knights of Columbus. He loved his church family at St. Thomas More and volunteering with Mary’s Kitchen. Louis was married to his wife Sara for 56 years and enjoyed golfing, camping, hiking, tennis, and boating on Lake Mohave. They traveled many miles together throughout Canada, Mexico, Europe, and visited all 50 of the United States.
Services were held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Irvine, Ca. Well-wishers may contribute to St. Aloysius School in Vicksburg, The Salvation Army, St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
