Theodore Vera
Theodore Vera, 85. Born on November 9,1931 in Manhattan, Kansas to Frank and Elizabeth (Silva) Vera. Died on October 3, 2017 in his home in Bogota, Colombia, surrounded by the Ramos Family.
Ted graduated from Manhattan High School in 1950. He went on to recieve a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1956 at Kansas State University. He served in the Military as a 1st Lt. in Korea. He graduated from Texas A&M Univesity with a PhD in Microbiology. He
was a Professor in the Bacteriology at Kansas State University. One of his other accomplishments, a researcher for Squibb Company.
He is preceded in death by his parents. SistersMarcellina Zarazua, Josephine Vera, Lucia Jackson, Ernestina Arnett, Frances Meyers.
He is survived by his siblings - Joseph ,Vera, Beatrice Ayon, Virginia Perbeck of Mahattan, Kansas. Frank Jr. Vera (Deborah), Arlington, Texas, Anna Marie Yates (Joe), Cadiz, Kentucky, Rachel A. Nehl (Pat), Springfield, Missouri, Many nieces and nephews and
extended family. There will be a Celebration of Life Mass, December 2, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at Seven Dolores Church, Juliette and Pierre Street, Manhattan Kansas.
