Lonnie J. Price
February 10, 1955 - September 9, 2017

Lonnie J. Price, 62, of Houston, Texas, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2017. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on February 10, 1955 to Lonnie J. Price Sr. and Ida Faye. He was married to Beverly Price for 29 years. Lonnie had a career in aerospace software. He had a passion for Corvettes and spending time with his family.

Lonnie grew up in San Antonio, graduating from McCollum High School in 1973. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1977 with a degree in Computer Science. He spent a short time in Ft. Worth working at General Dynamics, and in 1979 moved to Houston to work on the Space Shuttle Simulator. He continued to work for various NASA contractors until his passing.

His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family, whether it was traveling to Colorado and New Mexico to ride steam trains; attending Star Trek conventions in Las Vegas and Tampa; watching sci-fi and fantasy movies and TV shows such as Doctor Who, Firefly, Star Trek, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and more; and playing computer and video games with Dale and Beverly. One of the last projects that Lonnie and Dale did together was to design a space themed mechanical keyboard.

Lonnie is preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie J. Price, Sr. and Ida Faye Price.

He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly; son, Dale; sister, Neda Alexander; cousin, Candy Watling and husband Charles and in-laws, Eugene and Barbara Stewart.

The family will receive friends for food and fellowship on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the Saloon Door Brewing, 105 Magellan Circle, Webster, TX 77598. With a Celebration of Life to be held at 6:00pm.

Lonnie loved the space program, he loved his family, and he loved all of you.
