Ruthie Jean Fails Smith
June 25, 1969 - December 1, 2017

Ruthie Fails Smith passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 1, 2017. She now lives pain free with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in that wonderful place called Heaven.

Ruthie was born June 25, 1969 to Wessley and Sharon Fails in Huntsville, Texas. She graduated with honors from Huntsville High School’s Class of 1987. She then chose Texas A&M for a degree in Mechanical Engineering. She worked for DeMontrond Auto Group for over 20 years.

Ruthie married Richard Shane Smith in Conroe, Texas. Later, along with her big brother, Cameron Smith, their pride and joy, Cassidy Allysa was welcomed to their family.
Ruthie is survived by Shane, Cassidy and Cameron Smith; her parents, Wessley and Sharon Fails; brother Alan Fails and wife Stacey; in-laws Ann Price, Don Price and Richard Smith; sister-in-law Haley Price Strickland; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and countless friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 6, 2017 from 5:30 to 8:00 PM at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville, Texas.

A CELEBRATION of Ruthie’s life will be at 1:00 PM, Thursday, December 7, 2017 in the chapel of Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville, Texas.

Memorials can be made in her memory to the American Heart Association.

Our Ruthie is now the “Brightest Star” in the Heavenly Skies. Remember her with smiles and laughter.
