September 3, 1957-October 25, 2017
Dr. Jim Taylor passed away at his home in Auburn on October 25, 2017. He was born on September 3, 1957, in West Memphis, Arkansas; but grew up in Auburn, graduating from AHS, AU, and AU Veterinary School, and did post-doctorate work at Texas A & M. After private
practice for 35 years in Texas, he returned to Auburn on the staff of the AU Vet School, Equine Unit.
He is survived by his daughter Kayleigh; parents Jim and Virginia Taylor; sister and brother-in-law Jennifer and Jim Carson; niece Hayley (Jimbo) Tucker; nephew Jim (Courtney) Carson IV; and five great-nieces and nephews.
Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery, Franklin County, Alabama for family; and a memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church, Athens, TX. on Saturday, November 18, 2017, at 10 A. M. Jim had a heart for missions and for helping anyone in need, especially
children.
