Rebecca "Becky" Carter, 66 of Temple died December 28, 2006 in a Temple Health Care Center.

Services for Mrs. Carter will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday December 30, 2006 at the Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple with Rev. A.C. Painter officiating. Burial will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park.

Mrs. Carter was born in Atlanta, Texas the daughter of James and Mary Bledsoe Coney.
She graduated from High School in Hobbs, New Mexico. She them married Harold Carter. She later graduated from Texas A & M University with a degree in business.
Before her retirement she had taught school in Huntsville, Texas and Killeen, Texas

She is survived by three daughters Mary Pajestka of Rogers, Texas Melysha Hearn of Scottsdale, Arizona and Melanie Brown of Burleson, Texas two sons Michael Carter of Hobbs, New Mexico and Matthew Carter of Raleigh, North Carolina. Also surviving is one sister Mary T. Yates of Colorado and one brother James Coney of Austin, Texas, 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Scanio-Harper Funeral Home of Temple is in charge of arrangements.
