"DE BOER -- Jelle de Boer, 84, passed away November 11, 2007, in Albuquerque, NM. He was born on August 19, 1923 to Hans and Jitske de Boer in the Netherlands. He came to this country in the late 1940s and became a citizen after the necessary five years. He
was always proud of his adopted country, and his many friends would testify to that. He received his doctorate in physiology from Texas A & M in 1961. He was employed at Kirtland Air Force Base as a nuclear scientist where he retired in 1986. He enjoyed living
in the Southwest and his membership in St. John's United Methodist Church. He had a life membership in the Masons and belonged to the Zia Daylight Lodge where he had served as a past master. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 53 years, Eleanor;
and a sister, Rompkya de Boer, of Eindhoven, The Netherlands. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 16, 2007 at St. John's Methodist Church, 2626 Arizona NE at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, friends may give to St. John's United Methodist Church,
