Joel Burton O'Berry
September 14, 1931 - October 9, 2017
Joel Burton O’Berry passed away October 9, 2017. He was born on September 14, 1931 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Joel is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Martin and Dorothy Belle Knowles O’Berry. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Evelyn O’Berry, his daughters Pamela Sitton and her husband Richard of Houston, Texas and Terry McCarthy and her husband Daniel of The Woodlands, Texas; grandchildren Taylor Richard Sitton, Ryan Matthew Sitton, Colleen Nicole Sitton and Matthew Garrett McMillian.
Joel studied engineering at Texas A&M and served his country in the Korean War. He was Senior VP of Don Love, Inc. and a past President of the Associated Builders and Contractors of Greater Houston. Joel was an avid golfer and sports fan throughout his life. A private Graveside Service will be held at South Park Funeral Home in Pearland, Texas.
