Funeral services for Marvin Lee Isaacks, 62, of Arp, will be held 2:00pm Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Cottle Funeral Home in Troup. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home.

Marvin Isaacks passed away Saturday, September 30, 2017. He was born November 4, 1954 in Jacksonville to Eldris Isaacks and Patsy Whitesides Isaacks. Marvin graduated from Troup ISD in 1973 and went on to attend Texas A&M University, graduating in 1978. He married the love his life, Debra Cubine, in 1976 and the two were married for 41 years this past June. Marvin was the first State FFA Vice President. He loved being an educator, but his favorite thing was farming. Marvin taught agriculture, political science, economics, history, as well as many other subjects at West Rusk and Kilgore schools. He loved his family dearly.

He is preceded in death by his father Eldris Lee Isaacks and brother Wesley Owen Isaacks.

Survivors include his wife, Debra Cubine Isaacks of Arp; mother & stepfather, Patsy Divers & Otis of Arp; daughter Jessica Baker & husband Tony of Arp; two sons, Jacob Isaacks & wife Lexie of Phoenix, AZ, and Zachary Isaacks & wife Ellen of Troup; sisters, Pam McMichael & husband Mike of Troup, Deborah Kirby of Tyler, and Kathy Isaacks of Arp; three grandchildren, Wesley Baker, Madison Mollie Isaacks, and Annalise Mae Isaacks; also, many other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends and loved ones at Cottle Funeral Home in Troup Wednesday, October 4, 2017 from 6-8pm.
