Lisa "Paige" Meek Cormier, 57, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 after a lengthy battle with leukemia. Paige was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on May 30, 1960 to John and Roberta (Bobbie) Meek. She was raised, along with her three older siblings, Kay,
Dale, and Bruce, in Plano, Texas, and was a graduate of Plano West Senior High School. Paige was an alumnus of Texas A&M University, Class of 1982. Having earned a BS in Industrial Engineering, and Masters Degree in Organizational Psychology, she led a successful
35-year career in insurance safety, risk and loss prevention for Liberty Mutual Insurance and Lockton Corporation, both in Houston, Texas and Charlotte North Carolina.
Paige was best known for her kind heart, motherly spirit, and big laugh. She enjoyed reading, Texas A&M football, hot baths, a big glass of wine, or a hot cup of coffee especially on a road trip. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially
cherishing time with her daughters, Ally and Nicole. Most knew better than to play cards or board games with Miss Paige as her competitive spirit always proved she was a true Meek.
Paige was preceded in death by her parents, John and Bobbie Meek, sister, Kay Meek Richardson, and brother Bruce Meek. She is survived by her loving daughters, Ally and Nicole Cormier; brother, Dale Meek and wife Nancy; sister-in-law, Sherri Pryor Meek, brother-in-law
George Richardson, nephews, Austin Richardson and wife Beth, Cameron Meek, and Taylor Meek; niece, Stefanie Meek Wilson and husband Mike; and loving former husband and lifelong friend, Ron Cormier.
The family expresses deepest thanks and love to both sister-in-law Sheri Meek and Paige's long-time close friend since eighth grade, Janet Cathriner. These ladies stayed at Paige's bedside through her illness.
The family will receive friends for a viewing on Sunday, October 1, 2017 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Ted Dickey Funeral Home WEST, located at 8011 Frankford, Dallas, Texas 75252 (intersection of Bush and Coit Road). The Funeral Service will be celebrated
