ALLISON KAYE MORRISON
December 1, 1964 - August 19, 2009

Allison was born in Fort Worth, Texas and grew up in Hurst, Texas. School was easy for her. She was pretty athletic and played volleyball, ran track, and in high school was on the drill team – which is a very big deal in a state where people live and breathe high school football.

Allison’s senior year of high school was awesome. Her high school football team went to the state finals. It was great fun for her to dance in front of 30,000 fans at Texas Stadium.

After high school, Allison was accepted to her first choice university, Texas A&M, where she earned a degree in business finance. She loved being an “Aggie.”

Allison met David Morrison two months before graduating college. What she thought would be some good entertainment for the last two months of school, became a whirl-wind romance.

Allison and David were married on August 5, 1989 in Fort Worth, Texas. The next day, they packed up and moved to California for what they thought would be a grand one to two year adventure before returning to Texas. They never returned. The Lord had a different plan.

After two years in California, Allison hadn’t made any real friends and was terribly homesick when she met a group of Christian newlyweds who lived in the same apartment complex. They all instantly became friends, and within a year, she and David both gave their hearts to the Lord and were baptized. Allison’s faith gave her a great deal of peace through many of life’s struggles over the years.

On March 22, 2000, the Lord blessed Allison and David with the amazing gift of adopted twin boys, Joshua David and Jacob Michael.

The most important thing to Allison was being a wife and mother. She home-schooled her boys for four years. The boys fondly remember her reading them stories and being their “roller-coaster buddy.”

Allison’s hobbies included gardening, scrapbooking, and she loved tropical vacations. She was a great planner, organizer, and hostess – including the annual world famous Rock Bottom Ranch BBQ. She loved seafood and Mexican food.

Allison was a gifted writer. She also had endless ideas to remodel their house that kept David very busy.

Allison’s style was classic and traditional and she was always the proper lady.

Allison touched many lives and had several dear friends. She was exceedingly loved, and will be sorely missed until that day when we all gather again in eternity.
