We are very sorry to report the passing of Charles “Charley” Ernest Fischer, ’55 of Ingram, TX on August 2, 2017.
Charles was born on April 13, 1933 in Houston, TX. His parents were Alberta and Richard E. Fischer (’30).
Charles graduated from Pasadena High School, Pasadena, TX where he played on both the Football and Baseball Teams.
He graduated from Texas A&M College and was the Cadet Commander of Squadron 5. Charles received his commission and entered the US Air Force. He served in the Vietnam war and his final assignment was in the Pentagon on the Joint Chief of Staff. He retired after 22 years of service with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and became the Administrator of the Comfort, Texas Hospital/Nursing home.
After 12 years Charles retired to his goat ranch in Ingram, TX. He is survived by his wife Sandy and his sister Mary Weaver and children.
