Stephen Wesselmann, 41, passed away on September 7, 2017. He was born January 11, 1976 in KCMO.

After graduating high school from the American Community School in Cobham, England, he attended Texas A & M University earning a degree in Political Science. He then attended Texas Tech and earned his Law Degree.

He practiced law as an Asst. D.A. in Houston before joining his parents to run the family business, eventually opening three of his own GNC stores.

Stephen was an avid sports fan and either attended or watched every Royals or Chiefs game he could. One of his fondest memories was attending a World Series game and watching his Royals take the Crown.

He was highly intelligent, had empathy for all, big hearted and giving. He got more joy from giving than receiving. He was a motivational leader and sought to bring out the best in others. He had an infectious sense of humor, a smile that lit up any room, and a charisma that made it great to be around him.

He will be mourned by his parents Liz and Eddie Gangriwala; father Doug Wesselmann (Debra); brothers John(Megan) and Adam; sister Amy(Beau); niece Hailey and nephews Garrett and Aryck; his step-siblings Vincent, Madolin and Hannah; and his faithful dog Molly.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at McGilley State Line Chapel, 12301 State Line Road, KCMO 64145. Visitation will be from 5:30pm to 6:30pm and Rosary at 6:30 followed by services and Celebration of Stephen's life. Please share a memory or offer condolences at www.mcgilleystatelinechapel.com.
