Cathleen Carter
October 21, 1957 - August 13, 2017

A Celebration of Life for Cathleen Carter will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 18, 2017, at Rader Funeral Home of Longview. In honoring her wishes, cremation will follow under the direction of the funeral home. Cathleen was born October 21, 1957, in Lake Charles, LA to Howard R. and Nancy Carter.
Cathleen was a graduate of Westchester High School in Houston and later graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree while continuing her education in various employment opportunities. She wore many hats but most recently she was a technical writer for various drug development companies. Her employment afforded her the opportunity live many places and to travel extensively, including Houston, Dallas, Kilgore, San Diego and Southern California ,Knoxville, Destin Florida , New Mexico , Arizona , Arkansas , Louisiana Mexico , New Zealand and Australia.
Cathleen was a loving daughter, sister and aunt and will be missed by all who loved and knew her. She had an easy disposition and friendly outlook on life that was a joy for those whose lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her father, Howard R. Carter.
Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Nancy Carter of Longview; siblings, Steve and his wife Kathleen Carter of Houston, Sabra Carter of San Diego, CA and David and his wife Pam Carter of Knoxville, TN; nieces and nephews, Camille and Barrett Carter and John and his wife Kristen Carter.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity of choice.
