Royce "Neil" Price(1932 - 2017)
July 6, 1932 - August 28, 2017
Royce "Neil" Price, 85, died on August 28, 2017, in San Antonio, Texas, surrounded by his loving family.

Neil was born on July 6, 1932, in Friona, Texas, to E.L. "Smokey" and Katie (Pittman) Price. He graduated from McLean High School in McLean, Texas and then attended Texas A&M where he graduated with the class of 1955. He was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Air Force where he served proudly and was honorably discharged in 1958 with the rank of Captain. Following military service, he began working for IBM where he had a long and distinguished career as an executive. He is remembered by his colleagues as a great mentor, leader and friend. Neil retired in 1991.

In 1954, Neil married Nelda Ann Hendry, and they were blessed with three children, Randy, Cathy, and Janie. They had a long and loving marriage until Nelda lost her battle with cancer in 1999. Sadly, Randy also succumbed to cancer in 2003.

Neil later married Joan Rheiner Henninger, and their life together was full of family, friends, travel and laughter until sadly, Joan passed away from cancer earlier this year.

Neil is preceded in death by his parents, Smokey and Katie Price, son Randy, wife Nelda, and second wife Joan. He is survived by his daughters, Cathy Dunham (David), Janie Paschal (Patrick); his grandchildren, Steven Sigler, Ryan Flansburg (Shannon), Tyler Flansburg (Alexandra), Blake Flansburg (Ashley Diaz), Brandon, Chase, and Sarah Price; and his great-granddaughter, Ava Flansburg. He is also survived by his step-daughter Lana McDonald (Terry), and step-sons, Tom Henninger, and Stephen Henninger (Allyson) and their families, and a host of other dear family and friends.

Neil was a kind and gentle man whose faith sustained him through a long and fruitful life. He will be remembered for his compassion, friendship, and love of people. Showing strength in adversity and joy in his many blessings, he was an inspiration to his friends and family and will be greatly missed.

The family would like to thank his amazing caregivers, Cindy Schutte and Mary Helen Hale, for their care and compassion, and for the wonderful staff at The Forum at Lincoln Heights.
