Mr. William Benjamin "Ben" Holleman, 93, died Tuesday, August 22, 2017.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at the Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel, 5400 North St. in Nacogdoches, with Dr. Leland Callaway officiating. Burial will follow at the Holleman Cemetery in Rusk County. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m.

He was born June 12, 1924, to Moody and Alice Holleman on the family farm near Mt. Enterprise, Texas. In his early teens, he was born again into eternity through the grace of Lord Jesus Christ.

Mr. Holleman was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ruthe Kirkwood Holleman; brothers, Clarence Holleman and Kenneth Holleman; sister, June Kindschey; a step-son, David Kirkwood; and step-daughter, Pat Kirkwood Crawford.

His survivors include his wife, Dean Stewart Holleman; sisters, Martha Miley, Jo Lostracco, and Eloise Stoeckle; son, William Holleman; daughter, Celia Sustaire and husband Chuck; granddaughter, Cindy Shirley; great-grandsons, Scott Helton and Eric Helton; great-granddaughter, Ashley Simmons; greatgreat-granddaughter, Willa Helton; step-son, Robert Kirkwood; and step-daughters, Donna Stewart Nash and Denise Stewart Lykke.

During World War II he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps on a B-24 in Africa and Europe. After his discharge he attended Texas A&M University, graduating with a BS degree in agriculture. This led to jobs with the Soil Conservation Service, Texas prison system, and the Olin Corporation followed by a 25 years as a real estate broker in Nacogdoches.

Pallbearers are Donald Raines, Mark Lostracco, Paul Stoeckle, Robert Kirkwood, Jason Robertson, and Jeffery Sullivan.
