Carlos Tappan de Arrigunaga, 74, passed away June 5, 2017 at the California Pacific Medical Center, in San Francisco from complications due to lung cancer. Born and raised in New Orleans, LA Carlos resided in San Francisco the majority of his adult life. Carlos
graduated from St. Martin's Episcopal High School. He received a BS and MS from Louisiana Tech in 1965 respectively followed by a Phd from Texas A&M. He moved to California to where he worked as the Senior Economist and Vice President of Bank of America. While
with the bank, he taught graduate classes in Economics at Golden Gate University in San Francisco, CA. He went on to found Focal Financial Consulting. A lifelong classical musician, Carlos became an accomplished Flamenco guitarist residing for a period of
time in Spain to pursue his musical study. Son of the late Carlos Ernest de Arrigunaga and Helen Alma Woodworth both of New Orleans, LA. Survived by his sister Alma Slatten Pettit of New Orleans, La, his children, Tappan Woodworth de Arrigunaga of San Francisco,
CA, Ashley Kelley Montulli of Menlo Park, CA and Jason Thomas de Arrigunaga of San Francisco, CA and his grand children, Jillian Kelley Montulli and Louis James Montulli III of Menlo Park, CA. Private cremation services were held in san Francisco.
