John Ezra Ingram Jr.
May 31, 1937 - August 8, 2017

Johnie Ezra Ingram Jr. went to be with the Lord, on August 8, 2017 at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas with his loving wife Caroline by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents Johnie E. Ingram Sr. and Hilda Keller Ingram, daughter Cynthia Ruth Ingram-Mireles, and Christine Vaughn Sweatman. He is survived by his loving wife Caroline Ingram, son Johnie E. Ingram III, daughter in law Paula Ingram, grandchildren Johnie E. Ingram IV and Rachel Annette Ingram from San Antonio, Texas.

He attended San Antonio Academy, Texas Military Institute and Texas A&M class of 59, Gig'em. John E. Ingram attended Texas A&M's School of Engineering and Business. His background, spanning many years of construction experience, ranges from residential construction experience, to the conception of intricate plans for multi-storied buildings, industrial facilities, and warehouse with a complete follow-through in all stages of construction. Mr. Ingram's duties involved job cost estimates, the investigation of proposed sites, as to the most economical construction and the overseeing of contractor's bids. In the Property Management realm, Mr. Ingram kept in contact with tenants; handing service requests and checking all maintenance work. He was the V.P. of Comfort Supply and owned Seberas Air Conditioning & Appliance. He was a Catastrophe Adjuster, Realtor at Bradfield Properties and retired from Reliance Residential Real Estate in September 2016. As a former student of Texas A&M, he was an active participant in Texas A&M associations. Mr. Ingram was on the Board of Directors of both the San Antonio A&M Club, and was a member of the Former Students Association. John endowed a Football Scholarship in the 12th man Foundation of which he was a member and former director. He was the Director of Martini Foundation, founding member of the San Antonio Jaycees, served on the Go Western Gala Committee of the SA Rodeo Exposition, and was a founding member of the Aggie Die Hard Association, a well-loved Texas A&M Tradition, and Texas Aggie Corps of Cadets Association. John attended all of the Texas A&M home games and most of the away games and was also involved with other organization associated with Texas A&M. He was very involved in his family life. He was a member of the Southwest Football Officials Association, where he was able to officiate one of his son's football games and National Association of Catastrophe Adjusters, Inc. He rarely missed an event in which his grandchildren participated. He was a magnificent dresser, loved classical music, theater, traveling abroad, snow skiing, fine restaurants, Texas A&M, but most of all his family. John and his wife were members of Alamo Heights United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be held on Thursday August 10, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home from 6-8 pm. Funeral service will be held on Friday August 11, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home at 12 noon. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Steve Stallings, Steve Hladek, Robert E. Hawkins, Jim Hayes, Al Kiris, Herbert E Pounds, Jr., and Dr. Charles Wiseman. Honorary pallbearer will be William Sam West. Rev. David McNitzky will be officiating. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Texas A&M Association of Former Students, Texas A&M 12th Man Foundation or a charity of your choice.
