Howard Marvin Herron Col., United States Army (Ret.) Howard Marvin Herron, Colonel, United States Army (Ret.), born 11 September 1921, in Chester, Pennsylvania, to Alden and Dela Herron, passed from this world on 1 August 2005.
Colonel Herron served honorably as a soldier for 33 years, was a faithful husband, devoted father, and spoiling grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth M. Herron of Austin; two sons, Howard Michael Herron and wife Gail Emily Herron of Houston, and John T. Herron, Lt. Col. (Ret.) and wife Patricia D. Herron, Lt. Col. (Ret.) of Lampasas, Texas; and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Houston National Cemetery, Houston, Texas, on Friday, 5 August 2005, at 1:30 p.m. We will all miss him dearly.
