Steven Andrew Falksen
December 27, 1959 - July 25, 2017

Steven Andrew Falksen, age 57, of Katy, Texas entered his final rest on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 after a brief illness.

He was born to Arnold and Mae (Mickolic) Falksen on December 27, 1959 in San Antonio, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Renae (Seals) Falksen whom he married on August 19, 1989, daughter Kelly, and son, Chad, all of Katy, Texas. Sisters: Susan Kaiser and Karen (Mark) McCammon both of San Antonio, Texas as well as several sister in laws and brother-in laws, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Steve’s passions were any kind of beach vacation, the Houston Astros, the Houston Texans and any kind of BBQ! Steve would spend hours smoking meats on his smoker and experimenting with spices to grill meat and veggies with. He built a gorgeous pool in the backyard with a covered patio where we could find him whenever he was not watching sports!

He and the family were passionate about Chad and his baseball skills and multiple baseball teams. Traveling throughout Texas and surrounding states for his big baseball events was a regular part of our lives. He looked forward to every one of them. He loved trips to Mexico where he indulged in the foods and drinks of the land. Being a “Red Raider” supporter of Kelly’s Texas Tech and “guns up” was a common occurrence around our house.

Steve was employed by Baylor College of Medicine in the IT Department for over 20 years as an Information Technology Analyst using the skills and education he received in his pursuance of two degrees in Business Analysis and Management from Texas A&M University.
