Maynard Earl Hill died on Saturday, July 22, 2017 from stroke complications. He survived his initial stroke on September 29, 2015. He was at home until recent hospitalization on July 4.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Friday, July 28, 2017 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 29, 2017 at St. Mary's Catholic Center in College Station. Interment will follow
at College Station Cemetery.
Maynard Hill was born in Uvalde, Texas on Valentine's Day 1938. He attended schools in Del Rio, Texas. He graduated from Texas A&M with a Bachelor of Science. He was a member of the first graduate program in the College of Business. He earned his Master's Degree
in finance. Both of his sons also graduated from Texas A&M. Mr. Hill's two sons, Casey Hill and Clifton Hill pre-deceased him in 2007 and 2010.
Maynard Earl is survived by his wife, Caroline Hill, grandson Jon Michael Hill, and great granddaughter Alissa Nicole Hill. Also surviving Maynard is his sister, Billie Ruth Hill Coleman and brother, Kenneth Roy Hill and his wife Sherri Hill. Special nieces
and nephews survive. Mr. Hill is also survived by his sisters-in-law and their husbands, Leona and George B. Andel, Anna Mae Hajovsky, Gertie and Vit Janda and deceased brothers-in-law George Hajovsky and Jinks Coleman.
Maynard Earl Hill had such beautiful qualities in his life. How appropriate that he was born on Valentine's Day. He never entered a room without his great smile. He was friendly, kind, warm, thoughtful and very patient. He never, ever complained about his health
situation.
