November 14, 1952 - July 6, 2017
Funeral services for Tommy Allen Estes, 64, of Lamesa will be held Monday, July 10, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Second Baptist Church with Billy Parmer and Robert Rivera officiating. Private Interment will follow in Dawson County Cemetery under the direction of Branon
Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 9, 2017 from 3:00-4:00 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home. Tommy went to be with Jesus Thursday, July 6, 2017. He was the son of Tom Estes and Billie Estes. He and Joy Miers were married on April 30, 1983 in Lamesa
and had a 34 year long wonderful marriage. He was a life-long farmer in Gaines and Dawson County. He worked 5 years as the Project Rio Counselor for the Smith Unit, and one and a half years as a field supervisor for Texas Boll weevil. He also served eight
and a half years on the Klondike School Board while holding the office as President on the school board for four years. He was a loving, giving, hardworking, gentle man. He loved God and his family. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Tommy was
very involved in the lives of his children, and grandchildren especially with sports and FFA. He was born November 14, 1952 in Lamesa. He graduated from Klondike High School, South Plains College and Texas A&M University. He was a beloved son, husband, father
and grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife, Joy Estes; children, Lance Norton, Sherry Norton Whitley, April Clement and husband, Cody Clement, Levi Estes and significant other, Casey Wayne Riggs, and Lacy Viertel and husband, Mackenzie Viertel, and
Aaron Miers; mother, Billie Estes; brother, Jack Estes and wife, Theresa Estes; sister, Ann Estes; and grandchildren, Kyler Norton, Faithlyn Norton, Keiland Norton, Devin Allen, Cole Whitley, Kasey Whitley, Ethan Tuxhorn, Cooper Tuxhorn, Gavin Tuxhorn, Maci
