Jack Elroy Turner, 88, died Sunday, July 2, 2017, at Harbor Hospice in Houston.
Jack was born on August 20, 1928, in Houston, TX, to John and Addie Blair Turner. After high school graduation, he enrolled in Texas A&M University, graduating in 1949 with a degree in mechanical engineering. Jack then began his 35-year-career with the Dow Chemical Company.
Those proceeding Jack in death include his parents; his sister Johnelle; his first wife and mother to his two sons, Monette; and his wife of 38 years, Marilyne Hubbard Turner.
He leaves behind his sons, Jay Turner and Dean Turner of Houston; his stepdaughter, Regina Tubay Young (Charles) of Pearland; his stepson, Robert Tubay (Sharon) of Punta Gorda, FL; four grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; niece Sharon Knox and nephew Larry Buchanan; and numerous friends. Jack was blessed to find love again, later in life, with Roberta Comley. She survives.
Services will be held Friday, July 7, 11:00am, at Fellowship Bible Church, 1720 East Broadway, Pearland, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be sent to The Gideons International, the RLS (Restless Leg Syndrome) Foundation, or Christian Resource Center of Savoy, IL.
