JAMES SELDON BAWCOM 85, of Katy, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2007 in a local hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Ellen Bawcom on Dec. 17, 2002. He is survived by his children, Martha Brown, Charles (Chuck) Bawcom, and Rick & Joan Bawcom; his grandchildren, James Brown, Christopher Brown, Jocelyn Louise Register, Matthew Bawcom, and Alex Bawcom; great grandchild, Jackson Register; and sister, Foye Wiesener. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Schmidt Funeral Home Chapel, in Katy. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Katy Magnolia Cemetery, in Katy, with Rev. Pat Savage officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be made to American Diabetes Assn., 2400 Augusta Drive, Suite 175, Houston, TX 77057.
